z-street, Thamel, post box no:19233Climbing both Island Peak (6,189m) and Lobuche East Peak (6,119m) in a single journey is one of the most thrilling mountaineering adventures in Nepal. This combined expedition is designed for trekkers and climbers who want to experience two iconic trekking peaks of the Everest region while building solid alpine climbing skills.
Dual Achievement: Conquer two Himalayan summits in a single trip.
Progressive Challenge: Lobuche Peak is often considered slightly more technical, while Island Peak is excellent for glacier travel and alpine training. Doing both prepares you for higher 7,000m and even 8,000m expeditions.
Everest Region Exploration: The route allows you to trek through the Khumbu Valley, explore Everest Base Camp, Kalapatthar, and enjoy panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, and Ama Dablam.
Skill Development: You’ll practice rope techniques, crampon use, glacier travel, ice axe handling, and fixed rope climbing—essential skills for future expeditions.
Scenic flight to Lukla and trekking through Sherpa villages like Namche Bazaar, Tengboche, and Dingboche.
Acclimatization hikes with stunning views of Ama Dablam, Everest, and surrounding peaks.
Everest Base Camp (5,364m) and Kalapatthar (5,545m) visit for acclimatization and photography.
Summit attempts on Lobuche East Peak (6,119m) and Island Peak (6,189m).
Immersive cultural experience with Sherpa traditions, monasteries, and Himalayan lifestyle.
Island Peak, locally known as Imja Tse, is considered the best introductory Himalayan peak. The climb involves glacier crossings, rope ascents on icy slopes, and a thrilling ridge to the summit. From the top, climbers are rewarded with jaw-dropping views of Lhotse, Makalu, Baruntse, and Ama Dablam.
Graded PD+ (Peu Difficile) on the Alpine scale.
Includes glacier travel and use of fixed ropes.
Ideal for beginner to intermediate climbers.
Lobuche East is more technically challenging than Island Peak, offering steep snow slopes, rocky ridges, and exposed sections that demand focus and climbing efficiency. The summit rewards climbers with sweeping views of the Khumbu Glacier, Everest Base Camp, and towering peaks including Everest, Lhotse, Pumori, and Nuptse.
Graded AD (Assez Difficile) on the Alpine scale.
Involves mixed climbing on rock, ice, and snow.
