Pikey Peak is situated in the Lower region of Solukhumbu district at an altitude of 4070 m. From Pikey peak, one can get the grand view of nature, can experience the traditional livings of different ethnic groups like Sherpa, Chhetri, Tamang, and Gurung. One can taste the varieties of local cuisines and observe some rare plants, animals and the best view of the highest peak of the world Mt. Everest in the short trek.
From the Pikey peak, one can get the grand view of mountain peaks like Dhaulagiri, Everest, Makalu, Kanchenjunga, AmaDamlam, Lhotse, Nupatse, Numbur, Gaurisankhar, Langtang to the far west. Additionally, Pikey peak rewards tourists with one of the best sunrises and sunset views. It offers dense forests of Sunpati, Pine, Rhododendron whereas attraction of birds and animals like Lophophorus, Crimson Horned Pheasant, tiger, wild bear, Panda, Ghoral and so on. Similarly, Chauri Ghai, Nak, yak, and cow can be found anywhere in this area.
Day 01: Arrive Kathmandu and transfer to the Hotel Altitude: 1400m
Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be met by our representative and transferred to your hotel. After check-in, you can rest or explore nearby areas. In the evening, there will be a short trek briefing and trip orientation.
Day 02: Drive to Dhap Altitude: 2930m | Meal: BLD | Drive: 5/6 hours. Meal: BLD
After breakfast, begin a scenic drive through rural hills, river valleys, and mountain roads toward Dhap. Enjoy changing landscapes and traditional villages along the way. Upon arrival, settle into a teahouse and enjoy views of surrounding hills.
Day 03: Trek to Jhapre Altitude: 2830m | Meal: BLD | Trek: 5/6 hours. Meal: BLD
The trek starts with a gradual ascent through forests and farmland. Pass Sherpa villages, prayer flags, and monasteries, gaining insight into local culture. Jhapre is a beautiful village offering views of Everest, Numbur Himal, and surrounding peaks.
Day 04: Trek to Pikey Base Camp Altitude: 3640m | Meal: BLD | Trek: 6/7 hours. Meal: BLD
Today’s trek climbs steadily through rhododendron forests and open ridgelines. As you approach Pikey Peak Base Camp, the landscape becomes more alpine with expansive mountain views. Overnight at the base camp in a teahouse or lodge.
Day 05: Trek to Junbesi Altitude: 2700m | Meal: BLD | Trek: 5/6 hours. Meal: BLD
Early morning hike to Pikey Peak viewpoint for a spectacular sunrise over Everest, Kanchenjunga, Makalu, and Annapurna ranges (weather permitting). After descending, continue trekking through forests and yak pastures to the beautiful Sherpa village of Junbesi, home to the historic Thupten Chholing Monastery.
Day 06: Trek to Phaplu Altitude: 2469m | Meal: BLD | Trek: 5/6 hours. Meal: BLD
The trail descends through terraced fields, suspension bridges, and charming villages. Enjoy warm hospitality and rural life as you approach Phaplu, the administrative center of Solu region. Overnight at a lodge.
Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu Altitude: 1400m | Meal: BLD | Drive: 7/8 hours. Meal: BLD
After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu following scenic countryside roads. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel. Evening free for relaxation
Day 08: Departure Meal: Breakfast
Our representative will transfer you to the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your memorable Pikey Peak adventure.
